Re: Oct Global raid location

Any place BUT LRH Way. And here's why:

1) The city and Scientology and the residents are resolving this issue. Currently Sci cant get any closures until it's resolved. If we go in there we'll look like opportunistic assholes
2) the residents, the majority of whom are elderly and can't affor dto move--hello--rent control-- are finally getting some peace and quiet. If we go in there we'll look like opportunistic assholes
3) it will FUCK with Scientology if we stay away. they will FREAK OUT. And we will NOT look like opportunistic assholes They had the camera jerks, Tim and Windbreaker Dude there last Friday, expecting us. hahaahah! let's keep them confused.

If we can be patient we can achieve GREAT JUSTICE. Please, I am asking you to lay off LRH Way on Saturdays for a bit. If we show up this soon it will blow it. Getting this far took a lot of work on the parts of many of SoCal and a lot of BALLS on behalf of the residents.

MALIBU would love us, btw....

Please. No LRH way for global.

Re: Oct Global raid location

I think Empress is making a pretty good point here. And I voted for Big Blue. She could just be paranoid, but I suppose we shouldn't take any chances in trying to get the LRH Way thing through. If we protest there, we can't guarantee that no one will walk on the street, or try to.

Re: Oct Global raid location

I'm not paranoid, but I am monitoring the city council situation. Once there is a decision made by council--and  they KNOW the world is watching--then we can have victory march, but until it's a done deal, let's let this HUGE ball we started roll to its conclusion.

And, also, if I had had a block party held by rude loud neighbors for years, and then it stopped, I might like a few weeks of quiet before celebrating with the Masked Ones. Just saying...

Of course if council screws the residents, then the gloves comes off...

.  I do want to go to GOLD sometime, but this feels like short notice to get people out that far... It seems like something we should plan a bit more for.. maybe try to get a bus (inb4 fail) or somethin?

You have 18 days to
1) get a car, minivan, bus, plane, whatever.

2) make a sign

3) get a bottle of water

4) get earplugs

5) go there.

That takes care of maybe one cat, but what do you propose about getting the rest of the herd to comply?  :awesome:

I'll bring lots of cupcakes.  :freeman:

I've had City Councilman Eric Garcetti and his lovely (ick!) assistant, Helen, and I agree with Empress on this matter for the time being as far as large groups protesting at LRH Way.  Eric is in a delicate situation of having to handle the piece between 2 very sensitive parties: the cult & the angry wogs that are being hurt by the cult.

I would encourage smaller raids on LRH with a different tack.  Instead of focusing on the cult, we show our support as a group for the residents on the street which would garner alot more positive publicity from the media & senior citizen coalitions than a simple raid on LRW Way.

Re: Oct Global raid location

It is possible to persuade me at some point to go to GOLD, but never if it has been announced in the open first.
I understand why this would be a good date, and needs to NOT be on a Sunday, but scientology is now prepping for it.

There are probably some anons who want to go on that date suggested by AnonOrange...I would advise them to PM AnonOrange, do not announce it on this board or on Sci_ex.
Good luck and have fun.

Otherwise, I am ok with any choice and agree that giving the folks on LRH a break.  And Pasadena is pretty.  Also, the "Ideal Org"  in Pasadena is by some bars.

Re: Oct Global raid location

The Global raid is on Oct. 18th.  Why can't we agree to go to Gold on Saturday, Oct. 11 or October 25 ?

Arguing and nitpicking about this and getting egos bruised is not accomplishing anything and only empowers the cult against us.  If we are going to have a big impact on the cult, we need to be unified in spirit and mind, regardless of personal feelings for one another.

C'mon boys & girls.  Can't we just get along and have something to look forward to on the 18th instead of interpersonal grumblings.

Re: Oct Global raid location

I find the "no Big Blue" argument persuasive.
I could go with Pasadena location, but...
I suspect turnout, impact, and lulz will be greater if we go downtown  (after the Tustin, Upland, etc early components), in part because folks are in the habit of going there, so know the routine of how to get there.   Pasadena might be enough off the beaten path for some folks' imaginations/schedules that there would be fewer of us.

Re: Oct Global raid location

The Scientology crime syndicate hates getting their heavilly armed and fortified compound at Gilman Hot Springs picketed the most however there are very few customers left still being sent there. The best place to protest against the syndicate's crimes and abuses is where their customers are -- and that's getting difficult since they have so few customers left.

Big Blue is always good however there doesn't seem to be many customers left there, either.

I hear what you are saying, but I counter with: perhaps turnout will be higher since it's a new location and people are bored of Hollywood?  It's hard to say, we're a fickle lot.. but I know that a good group of us in Pasadena could spread a TON of information in Old Town (bring tons and tons of flyer!)

Crossposted from the LA thread on WhyWeProtest:
Quote
Not sure yet if I'll be able to make it this month... due to non-Anon stuff, I may be relegated instead to running support for the rest of my usual crew. Sad

I'm beginning to think that instead of focusing our global numbers on a single location, that we should consider switching to a scattershot approach. Sure, big numbers at a single location is visually impressive, but they just ship people out of the target location and ship in handlers. We know it takes as little as a single Anon to shut most of these places down. Imagine the results if say, 10-20 Anons are at nearly every major Scilon target in the LA area.

I think 10-20 well-prepared Anons will be more than enough to guard against the escalating Scilon faggotry, flyer passers-by, get a response from drivers going by. If each group has at least one (preferably two) video cameras and everybody packs still cams, any faggotry will be documented and all that. We have the numbers, I think, to utterly and completely paralyze any and all Scientology activity within... shit, at least 100 miles. Lulz AND maximum pissing the cult off bonus.

Imagine: Big Blue, LRH Exhibit, the old testing center, Malibu, Pasadena, and so on. All shut down at once. Where the hell are they going to move their peons to in order to hide them from us? Gold? Nope, good chance Anonymous will be there too. San Diego? Nope, Anonymous is there too. Upland? OC? Nope, we're there. Chatsworth? Hah, that place ain't big enough to hide ALL of the peons.... and we just miiiiight be THERE, too!

I think that we should do whatever is fun, effective, and most importantly: what will keep us going.

So, start filling the kiddie pools with mud and get the bikinis out. Hero, I'm looking at you.

Re: Oct Global raid location

I was happy to see this upcoming raid on the SoCal Anon newsletter thingy. This will be my first protest, and I'm looking forward to meeting those of you who will be there. I meant to show at the one in Hwood last month, but wasn't able to make it.  If I bring flyers, is there a pdf you could link me to that some of you use?
