It's that time of the month again, where oh where do we enturbulate THIS time?  This poll will be up for a week and will be discussed at tonight's meeting on IRC, giving us an answer by NEXT week's irc meeting.

Quick rundown:
HGB - lron life exhibit, home to many of our pickets.  great location on hollywood for foot and car traffic

Testing center - empty building, but has the flashy SCIENTOLOGY signs so its easy to see why we are there, also good foot/car traffic as its on hollywood

Big Blue - major ego blow to them for us to be in front of their Pacifica Base, and it gives us the chance to be seen by the staff and RPFers (or at least possibly).. traffic is decent, but there is virtually no foot traffic.  This location is more about making a point and having some fun.  - BB removed as an option due to Empress-wisdom and IRC-Meeting approval.

Pasadena Ideal Org - this is their brand new "ideal org" that just opened a week or two ago!  It is just off of Colorado and Raymond in Old Town Pasadena and has really good foot traffic.  The police there are very friendly and the local support was AMAZING.  It is 1 block from a metro station (gold line?) and is surrounded with  parking structures.

GOLD base - AnonOrange has expressed interest in taking a large group out to Hemet for a global raid.  This is a great place to be seen by some of the hardcore staffers and RPFers, and *really* upsets Scientology.  This spot also makes for some great video to be taken as Anons around the world are interested in this location.  Downsides are: very far, hard to get to.  nothing there (its literally desert and scilons, and thats it).  by making this an announced trip it gives CoS time to close shop for the day (ruining many of the positive aspects of this raid) and invites potential problems with police due to scilon bawwing.

I voted big blue because it goes well with the theme that i also liked (nightmare on lrh way) and is a fun spot.  I do want to go to GOLD sometime, but this feels like short notice to get people out that far... It seems like something we should plan a bit more for.. maybe try to get a bus (inb4 fail) or somethin?

You are again misrepresenting what I clearly stated numerous times.  The raid on Gold is NOT the Global raid.   The Gobal raid will still be held in LA/Tustin/Upland, etc but because we need Saturday to raid Gold effectively, we need to simplymove the LA region Golbal to Sunday.   It's really no big deal.

I'll do what the majority wants to do for the Global: Zombies, Nightmare on LRH Way at Big Blue, HGB, whatever.  I'm easy, really !

I understand that not everybody will want to go to Gold because of the distance.  That's fine.  The Global is still ON at the usual locations except, for to do it on Sunday because 1) we can raid Gold on Saturday (Gold needs to be raided on Saturdays) and 2) people have asked for a raid on Sundays for a change.  This will probably bring in new anons that could not raid on Saturday.

If you make a big announcement and a huge todo about this grand scheme to go to Gold, do you HONESTLY think DM is going to be like "hyuck, hyuck, I hear them Anonymoose kiddos iz comin up. I'll just stay right here."

and yes, you love Gold. You love going to Gold soooooo much. You've been there 4 times. We get it.
I think my biggest problem, and the problem all of us seem to be on the same page about, is the fact that when we all work together as a group and plan something, you almost ALWAYS come out of left field and say "HEY GUIZ! OVER HERE!! LOOKIT WHAT I'M PLANNING".
Taking initiative is awesome, but what you keep doing is planning things and putting things together that take focus away from what all of us as a group try to do. You've done it several times.
We plan a raid? Oh weird, you plan a raid the same day. We have a global, whats this? You put together a raid riiiight before our global start time. And now you're trying to, no spamming multiple threads with, a proposition that we move our monthly globals to accommodate YOUR plans?!
Lemmie explain how this works.
People come up with ideas. The ideas are proposed to the masses. The masses either jump on board or veto the idea.


and for the record, yeah, you know what? People HAVE asked for Sunday raids. And we did them. And you know who showed up? None of the global people. The people that showed up were the central cat hearders and regular raiders. None of the people that bawww'd for Sunday raids showed up.

Moving the global date means that some Anons won't get the message, and will show up to a wrong place/time.  I wish this wasn't the case, but some are not as well connected and in touch as the rest.  This is a big part of the hesitation in "simply changing the date of the global".  The fact that it's called a global leads to certain assumptions on the part of the general public.

That is not to say that it cannot be done, however it should be discussed.  It will be brought up in the meeting tonight, and afterwards and other poll question will be placed if necessary.

Check with MarcarbEmpress (from Enturb) (NOT the one on Scientology-Exposed, it's not her)  Call her if you have her number.

She wants to avoid traffic at Big Blue (LRH Way particularly) until the LRH right of way gets resolved.  If we raid around Big Blue too much, this may compromise the work she has done over the last two months.

Your comment applies to ALL raid locations.  By announcing raids publicly,  the Scilons prepare, move people out, board the place up, etc.

As I explained by PM to you, DM has to be at Gold during that time, which makes it a perfect time for Gold.  Again, the Global is still ON, separately from the Gold raid.

BTW, I attended all Globals since March and I just did extra-curricular activities.  I never asked anybody to do something different than was planned.

We have 2 1/2 weeks to get the word out.  There's about 5-6 web sites people get their info on.  We just have to repeat it a few times, call your friends.

I really think your poll is disingenuous, just so you can get you own way.

The poll should be simply:    Global raid for LA/Tustin/Upland/Pasadena  on Oct 18 or Oct 19 ?   That's all.  

The Gold raid is separate, but it needs to be on a Saturday.   I hope you'll make that clear if you re-write the poll.

And for the record? No, the poll IS NOT "disingenuous" as you put it.
Because the fact of the matter is, this is how we work. We pose a suggestion and it gets voted on. Shocking idea, I know, but there's more going on then just your Gold raids. Please pay attention to what the title of this thread is. "Oct Global Raid Location". The poll is asking for a vote from everyone on what the preference for, and stay with me here, the location for the global raids should be.
