The Hwd Bookstore invited me in for a stress test - big mistake!

I was walking to the winter wonderland and paused by the Hwd Blvd bookstore. They invited me in immediately when I didn't really want to go. Other times I've stood around forever trying to look interested and they ignored me.

People on youtube are telling me this is their favorite video. I just love the logo youtube picked.

Re: The Hwd Bookstore invited me in for a stress test - big mistake!

She was Armenian (I briefly spoke to her equally unkempt boyfriend) and struck me as one of the gullible types that answered the "Help Wanted" signs the cult posts on all their properties.

I doubt you will see her at the Testing Center for very long. They come & go quickly once they learn the "Help Wanted" signs are invitations to being scammed for $$$.

Same goes for the black lady you first encountered that didn't know how to operate the E-meter. She said they give hand lotion to those holding the cans...FAIL!! Putting on hand lotion screws with the conductivity in the cans, particularly if the lotion has any alcohol in it.

Google 'e-meter lotion.'
You are wrong. They even make "special" lotion to improve your session.

OK, here's the problem.  You were actually doing pretty well there right up until the end, where you just *had* to clue her in, and set yourself up for more trouble.  You sabotage yourself at every turn. You should take the win, and leave with it.  Not take it, rip it up in front of her, drop your pants, shit all over it, make a rude comment, then leave.

This is why people are upset with you.  People were amused at first because while you were acting obnoxiously, you're also pretty witty, so it was funny.  The problem is that you acting in that way works against what other people there are trying to achieve.  Your wit will only get you so far.  At some point, that stops being novel, and people start paying more attention to the obnoxious part.

Personally, I find it difficult to convince people that "we" are not a bunch of assholes/lunatics, when it's very easy for them to point at you, while you're screaming at a window.  Do you really not see how futile of an exercise that is?  What do you really want to accomplish?  Put yourself in their position for a moment.  You're doin' yer thing, while some fucktard is outside wearing a pope hat, screaming at a window about things that don't even make sense.  You know he's yelling at *your* window, but what the fuck is he talking about?  Do you think:

A.)  Wow, that person sure has some compelling things to say.  Tell me more, kind Pope!
B.)  HAHAHA Hey, Everyone!  Check out the crazy guy at the window!  I wonder if he does any other tricks!
C.)  Call Security, get a camera on him pronto, collect evidence of him acting in a potentially harassive nature, exaustively document everything, mash it all up and twist it however you have to in order to turn it into something to RAEP that guy with in court.

It's a trick question!  If you're a rational person, you might think the answer is B.)  If you're a crazy, litigious, aggressive, dangerous cult with a fuckload of money, then the answer is C.)

I know you're a self-avowed attention whore and all, but you can at least try to do it in a way that doesn't involve fucking yourself over, and alienating the people around you.  Your antics hurt you.  People are distancing themselves from you because they don't want your issues getting in the way, and they have no reason to jump to your aid, because for the most part, they seem to disagree with what you do.  You give them ammunition to hurt you with.  You are a walking footbullet.  Nobody else wants to be around you when Something Bad Happens.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe you going in there wasn't the greatest idea?  Ok, you've got balls, but did you think about what the consequences might be?  At any point, did you consider that it might have been a trap?  What if you walked in the front door, and got dogpiled by security?  You gotta learn to use your goddamned head, and think about what you're saying, and doing.  If you want to constantly sabotage yourself, you don't get to complain when you get your wish.
