June 2009 Global - Location Poll

Vote for where you would like to raid in June.

New and Exciting, or Forgotten Locations:

ASI - Author Services Inc. (Let's give them some time to get another bogus film permit.)
(Google Map)

Pasadena Org - Not to be confused with the Idle/Ideal Org
(Google Map)

Old Favorites:

HGB - Hollywood Guaranty Building; LRH Life Exhibit (Google Map) Also included in this package: Dianetics Testing Center - "Longsign" (Google Map)

Big Blue - PAC Base (Google Map)

If you need me, I'll be in my lab.

Re: June 2009 Global - Location Poll

I'd like to do a little push for the two locations at the top:

ASI would be great, for obvious bogus permitting reasons - and it's close to HGB/Longsign/Dianetics Bookstore and it's easy to branch out to these. Side note: It's right across from WISE giant Survival Insurance, and they're extremely easy to troll. They were enturbulated by three femanons that branched off for a few moments from the last global at ASI and their attempted handling was PATHETIC. (Grizzly Adams Clam: "So, uh... you want to buy some insurance?" Femanon 1: "No, I'm already covered." Femanon 2: "Do you have a policy against Fair Game?" GAC: "...")

Pasadena Org would be good for a change of pace, as we've only done one raid there and it wasn't a global - and it's close to the Metro. They have a big banner inside the org that says VICTORY; we should show them what it actually looks like.

We do HGB and PAC a lot. A LOT. And they're GREAT for flashraids because they never see us coming and that's when they panic.

THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE IS KEY. I, for one, think that we've largely lost that. So, let's switch things up a little.

PAC isn't so awesome for globals because of the lack of foot traffic, and both PAC and HGB know the drill for globals and shut down accordingly. They panicked like whoa when we came to ASI, and that's exactly the kind of chaos we want. Let's get back to ENTURBULATING and not letting Scientology know which end is up. We're not scheduling playdates for Mexican camera standoffs with (bored) handlers, we're en-fucking-turbulating.

HEY SCIENTOLOGY? EXPECT US.

Well...I have to agree about ASI.
They CANNOT shut that down.
They have screenings set up for the publics, and cannot just turtle-up...they must remain open.
ASI is pretty close to long sign (and Hollywood Highland for passing out fliers), so people could go back and forth like last time.

To be effective...this would need to be a later raid, as people don't even start arriving for the live show till 7pm.   Most are seated by 7:30 pm.   Hard to say when they leave as different shows are of different lengths, and the people are wined and dined a bit afterwards.  I guess some hard core people could stay for that, lol.

If a raid that won't end till near 8pm would be too much for people, some could arrive earlier and some later...just as long as we have coverage the whole time.

And I do want to have the FilmLA permit issue brought up again, as it is bullshit.

my $.02

Re: June 2009 Global - Location Poll

We definitely struck a nerve with the ASI raid.. I'd like to explore that a bit more and see why. Also yes, it's close enough to everything else that we can wander if we want (those of us not bogged down by a lolcano, at least)

Re: June 2009 Global - Location Poll

Ok, so the location will be (likely) ASI.

How about a theme? Sea Arrrgh 2: Cruise Control - especially since the last global at ASI had Scilons in pirate gear.

ASI = author service international, go as books, say 1984?

Re: June 2009 Global - Location Poll

Okay, I'm persuaded about ASI;  good arguments (Arrrrrguments?) were made for that location.  Now, howabout two-location raid, ASI being the second half?
