Upland mini-picket 7/20

I and my Upland friend, "Lisa McPherson," did a mini-picket today, having gotten the impression that nobody else was going to show anyhow.  Pix will arrive eventually.
Upland Mission has suffered solo pickets before yesterday without repercussions towards the picketer, but yes, they're getting more desperate, therefore more erratic/dangerous, so solos are no longer a great idea.  At least now I know why the Captain of the Watch asked "Are you the one who picketed just yesterday?"
It woulda been more lulzy if the three of us had all been together on one day, but it's pretty impressive they got hit on two consecutive days, no?  Even our non-coordination is full of win.
The Scilon I saw talking briefly to two cops was a brunette.  Curly-to-frizzy hair, maybe in her forties.
We handed out a lot of "Why Am I Wearing A Mask?" flyers-- neither of us had made signs.  One likely scilon in a white Toyota (I have the plate number written down elsewhere) cellphone-photoed us, but otherwise good conversation with foot traffic and positive responses from curious drivers taking an extra turn in the roundabout to see what was up.  More quiet "thumbs up" than honking, but we liked it.

Good job Touchstone!

I received no honks either but plenty of smiles, thumbs ups and a few claps. (please if you are reading this clapping + driving is NOT a good idea >__<)

The lady who wrote me up was an older lady in her 50-60s with salt and pepper hair.

 8-)

Re: Upland mini-picket 7/20

I have just now gotten home from the San Diego affair this weekend, but I will definitely be on hand for future flash raids.
