Been gone awhile since I hadn't seen very many Scientologists, being in a non-Scientologist-infested area, but I met a few of them today. My dad and I went to the Crossroads of the West Gunshow down in Costa Mesa to grab some ammunition and we were greeted by a few Scientologists. They were handing out the usual Dianetics fliers and even had a booth set up inside with some e-meters on it. Bit confused as to why they would choose a gunshow for recruitment, as they are usually the conservative Christian type. Flier had the usual 'Worried? Stressed out? Read Dianetics. Free session with purchase!' stuff on it, including some copyright information. Apparently you can't use 'L. RON HUBBARD' anymore, it's trademarked.
Here's a link to the Crossroads of the West website.
http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/It's open 9-4 tomorrow, 29 November. Their booth was in the back of building to the right of the snack bar where you can buy some beer and hot dogs. $5 for parking and $14 to get in. Bring a guitar and knowledge of Rick Astley.
It's true that every time you hear a bell, an angel gets its wings. But what they don't tell you is that every time a person joins the Church of Scientology, an Angel gets set on fire.
